Highland Moving is a rarity in today’s world of moving companies. We have been under family ownership since 1938, when Peter Kachur started a one-truck cartage company called Jim’s Express and Transfer. Since that time, the Kachur family has expanded Highland Moving & Storage to be one of the most respected moving companies in Edmonton, Calgary and Canada wide.

One thing that has remained unchanged over the generations is our service philosophy – one that encourages each employee to take personal pride in his or her work and celebrates outstanding customer service. As long as we maintain this tradition of pride in individual workmanship, our company will remain a quality service leader. This philosophy of employee self-esteem has been formalized in our quality-service program, “Moving with Pride”.
